Six teams battled it out in the Friends’ inaugural quiz night last weekend. With Richard Flynn acting as quiz-master, the teams engaged in questions and other challenges relating to subjects as wide-ranging as Sydney and the Cathedral, geography and travel, literature, and film and television.
The first challenge was to come up with a team name: and everyone acquitted themselves excellently, as we ended up with Numero Uno (on table 1!), The Mudgee Connection, Tintinnabulum et umbraculum, Mary Mackillop’s Dropouts, The All Stars, and Carpe Deum. After nine rounds of close competition, the grand prize was ultimately won by Tintinnabulum et umbraculum: congratulations to them.
We’re looking forward to holding similar social events in the months to come: look out for the announcements.
