On Thursday 8th November, we are delighted again to host Murray-Luke Peard, the captain of the Cathedral’s bell-tower. Murray-Luke will talk about the practice of bell-ringing, and particularly about the ‘Ringing Remembers’ initiative taking place this year, which hopes to recruit 1,400 new ringers to commemorate the 1,400 British bell-ringers who died in the Great War. Murray-Luke was a particularly engaging speaker last year, and we know that his talk will again be very popular.
The talk will be held at 6.30pm (after Vespers and Mass) on Thursday 8th November 2018 in the foyer of the Br Hoffman Hall. Enter the hall just next to the lower gate into the Cathedral House car-park. The talk will take about 45 minutes, with opportunity for questions afterwards, and will be followed by wine and cheese. Tickets are $10 for members ($15 for non-members).
Special reduced-price tickets are available for Members who buy online: if you are a member and cannot see the Members’ price of $10 each, then you will need to log in. If you do not have a password, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will happily send you one. Please book in advance if you can: some tickets might be available on the evening.
