Watch now: tour the bell-tower of St Mary’s Cathedral

We were very glad to host two Captains of the bell-tower on 13th October 2020: Margaret Hill (current captain), and her predecessor Murray-Luke Peard. They both talked about the experience of bell-ringing, and Murray-Luke treated us to the experience of climbing up into the bell-tower, seeing the ringing-chamber, and visiting the bells themselves, without our needing to leave our seats!

The knowledge and experience shared by Margaret and Murray-Luke is vast, and their enthusiasm for bell-ringing is infectious. We are very grateful to them for their time in preparing this talk, and look forward to hosting future events with them and other bell-ringers.
